Liip is one of the leading Swiss web agencies. For the update of their corporate design, technical means were deliberately used to convey the company’s competence.
The purpose of a Corporote Identity CI is to communicate the state and activities of the company. In order to implement this idea in a contemporary way, real-time data and data visualization became part of the new appearance.
The most important data are the largest in size. This makes it easy to see what Liip is currently focusing on. For the business context, data records for the “Facts and Figures” are used. For the “tech context” data sets on tech topics and corporate culture are used.
The focus is not to make claims with an idealised marketing language, but on proving statements with real data. With these data visualisations Liip deliberately focuses on transparency, because an honest image is more conducive to trust than an idealised one.
In the context of the CI redesign, the media applications were designed to illustrate Liip’s technical competences. One concept is to project the data visualizations with current company processes into Liip’s rooms. In this way, the company also becomes internally transparent with data that is of interest to employees.
The project was realised in collaboration with Liip and various partners such as Karakter (print) and Beat Schweizer (photography).
