The local business development promotion initiative June’s Choice is a project of VisualContext. It aims to make business more visible, which are engaged with all their energies in selecting and selling products and serving their customers, as well to promote local entrepreneurs, who provide unique shopping experience: With a platform that presents a curated choice of shops (for the time being) in Zurich and a periodical newsletter.
The initiative’s concern is to put into plain view shops such as John Baker that sources its ingredients sustainably from the region and bakes the bread in house. Or Soeder and Berg und Tal Marktladen, which connect us to local producers that are otherwise difficult to find as they can not be googled in the internet. With our project we want to make it easier for the conscious shopper to know when it is worth the while to go downtown.
In collaboration with Anthrazit AG, we have developed a mobile application for iPhone, iWatch and Android. With the help of this app users can more easily find the small and fine shops in Zurich and get notified with a push notification, when they are near a such a shop.
