For the visual identity, a neutral and modular system was developed, that can showcase a wide variety of projects. The website was created in collaboration with Spoiled Milk which on the one hand provides a classic project archive and on the other a video channel on which the user can indulge in the photo and film material. The two information layers are entangled, so that the user can move seamlessly from a project description to a slideshow set to music. The interface allows a harmonious co-existence of information and of the emotional power of music projects.

Besides very rigorous design principles he uses his photos of every day life to gain an intuitive approach to his projects. For the website these connection between design objects and his photos have become tangible. For this purpose we conceived a dual navigation: A click on a design object reveals the related photos and vice versa. This allows a very straight forward access to his portfolio as well as to explore the subtle magic of his world.

The aim was to raise the population’s awareness about social life, federalism and area development in urban Switzerland. Also the minds of a younger audience had to be captivated for this complex set of problems. So, an online game was developed that was presented at the exposition. The player can build his own city with simple modules. Living, working, green zones and culture have to be balanced in a city. Each move of the player gets rated on how much the quality of life has improved or deteriorated. The younger audience learns in a playful way of how a neighbourhood, urban sprawl and area development influences the quality of life.

Central to Origo are change and innovation. Its corporate identity is done in a very different way: An online application replaces the traditional design manual. The application produces autonomously all graphic elements and preserves at the same time the visual consistency. It generates a dynamic logo, interactive graphics, presentations and the web site. It has its own design intelligence and gives the user the freedom to concentrate on the content alone, as the form is generated autonomously by the application.

Material Archiv is a network of several institutions within the field of design and art. To bring together the various institutions, a consistent visual appearance was required. The core is an intuitive interface which facilitates the access to the knowledge of materials for creative professionals such as designers, architects and artists. The interface of the online database is a refinement of oSkope. The online database is connected to the physical material collections in the institutions and the materials are tagged with RFID chips. Thus, information can be directly retrieved of the physical materials. Material Archiv was nominated for the ‘Designpreis Schweiz’.

Horizon 21 is an investment manager that develops tomorrow’s investment strategies; represented therefore, as the horizon of the future. This horizon is blurry, elusive and always in movement. Instead of the uninspired and costly purchase of stock photography a computer system generates the imagery. The system autonomously combines the graphic elements generating an almost infinite variability but still preserving the visual constancy. So, the horizon of the future can never be predicted.
